The encounter of the last monk of Strofades with the fisherman that takes care of the place, will lead to unexpected events. The film concerns the struggle of young Dionysis to wake up his grandfather, who is stuck on a specific day in 1953 (before the earthquakes). That day he was playing music and when he was done he proposed to his Italian wife. Dionysis tries, as the movie itself mentions, to wake him up, just like when a song sticks to you and you have to listen to it again in order for it to come out of your mind. Based on this, he believes that if he “builds” all day, it will be a chain reaction and he will remember who he is. And the question is, will he succeed?
